FEP is the copolymer of tetrafluoroethylene (TFE) and hexafluoropropylene (HFP). With good thermal stability, prominent chemical inertness, desirable electrical insulation, and low friction coefficient, it can be processed with thermoforming technique. Grades are classified by different melting flow rate (MFR).
The molecular weight of FEP is 200000-600000, MFR (372 ℃, 5kg) is 0.8-32g/10min, melting point is 250-275 ℃. FEP has excellent mechanical and electrical properties.
The oxygen content required for continuous combustion is 95 vol%, and it has good chemical resistance.
